Corporate Finance for the Middle East and Africa region is routed in tailored advice and execution covering Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Equity Capital Markets (ECM). In terms of M&A, we offer advisory and tailored transaction services for private and listed companies, fairness opinions, financial restructuring and privatisations. Our scope for ECM includes helping firms raise growth capital through flotation’s (IPOs), rights issues, bought deals and accelerated book building, as well as convertible/exchangeable bond issues and other equity-linked transactions.
Our offering is backed by extensive structuring expertise and distribution capabilities as well as the financial strength and reach of a global bank. This enables us to execute seamlessly in local markets and facilitate cross border transactions for our clients. These include large corporates, financial institutions and government bodies operating across every major industry sector.
Asset Liabilities Management (ALM) Treasury
ALM Treasury supports the effective management of the region’s liquidity situation ensuring we meet our commitments to clients and counterparts in the Gulf & South Africa.
This is achieved by ensuring locally booked assets can be funded by local deposits as well as by working to attract and expand the deposit base in cooperation with all coverage teams and business lines operating in the region.
We manage the interest rate mismatches in the Regional Banking Books, implement the internal liquidity pricing decided by General Management and attract wholesale funding which allows BNP Paribas branches to comply with local and group-wide liquidity ratios.
