BNP Paribas’ ‘I Volunteer‘ members in Bahrain marked another successful corporate responsibility milestone by leading a fun EduArt activity at the Bahrain Rehabilitation Centre, Isa Town, which houses BNP Paribas’ Equal Possibilities Centre (BEPC) on Thursday 2nd June. The facility is dedicated to teaching office administration skills to individuals with disabilities that will enable them to find office based jobs.

To start the day, seventeen volunteers participated in a tour of the Centre with representatives from the Ministry of Social Development and the project team handling the BEPC. The volunteers then interacted with over 40 students through various activities such as reading, arts and crafts and sports.

This activity follows a successful programme which launched during Ramadan last year where Bahrain staff raised approximately USD 50,000 via donations, a bazaar, an auction, and other volunteerism activities.

‘I-volunteer’ is a key part of the bank’s STARS Corporate Social Responsibility programme. It aims to engage employees in volunteerism and fund-raising initiatives that make a difference to their local community. The success of this event was made possible because of the outstanding efforts made by the volunteers and the support of the management teams.
