Globally we are highly ranked across our three core activities: Retail Banking, Investment Solutions and Corporate & Investment Banking. In Europe, the Group has four domestic markets (Belgium, France, Italy and Luxembourg) and BNP Paribas Personal Finance is the leader in consumer lending. BNP Paribas is rolling out its integrated retail banking model across the Mediterranean basin countries in Turkey, Eastern Europe and a large network in the western part of the United States.
In Corporate & Investment Banking and Investment Solutions, we enjoy top positions in Europe, have a solid presence on the ground in the Americas, alongside fast-growing businesses in Asia and the Middle East and Africa.
We have been in operation across the Middle East for 40 years and today we have a presence in five countries: Bahrain, which serves as our headquarters for the Middle East and Africa region, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates in addition to covering Oman.
We also have a long legacy in Africa through our Retail Banking network dating back some 70 years and more recently through Corporate and Institutional Banking in North Africa, South Africa and West Africa.
